The health actuarial marketplace is small,
hierarchical, and specialized. At any point in time, there
are only a handful of health actuaries both qualified and
ready to make a change for a position requiring more than
eight years of experience. Hiring the right health actuary
is a challenging endeavor, even under the best of circumstances.
Good Candidates are busy making a career where
they are. They enjoy what they do, have progressed through
their exams nicely, and are looking to enhance some aspect
of their lifestyle if they make a move. The Best
Candidates have a highly developed sense of their own worth. They work
hard to produce value for their organization while keeping
an eye on maximizing their value in the marketplace. These

they know the recruiters and they know the right opportunity
when it presents itself.
HAS specializes in the
placement of designated, experienced health actuaries
in the domestic United States marketplace. This is all we do. Years have been spent getting
to know the market and developing individual relationships.
We value these relationships and enjoy the process of advancing
the careers of talented individuals. The nature of health
actuarial employment leads HAS to form Client relationships
on an as-needed basis, forming liaisons as it is mutually
beneficial. HAS does not and will not discriminate in selecting

HAS maintains Client
confidentiality.
Before a Client’s identity is revealed, HAS progresses
through a structured conversation with the Candidate, inviting
the Candidate to stop at any time when it becomes apparent
that the opportunity is not for them. During this conversation,
the Candidate is qualified for work history, actuarial
skills, acceptable geographies, compensation, management
accomplishments, career goals, and communication skillset.
The Client identity is only revealed if enough qualifying
elements are presented by the Candidate to justify taking
the conversation to the next step.

do not use job boards and do not maintain a jobs page on
this website.
